About Us
We’re Wes Hepker and Daniela Williams, the team behind Polsgrove Hill Diversified Farm northwest of Mount Carroll, Illinois. We moved to the area in 2022, planning for a quieter life in the country, but our love for growing food quickly turned into something bigger. After seeing the need for fresh, locally grown produce, we began market gardening and soon became regular vendors at the Mount Carroll Farmers Market.
Today our small diversified farm produces a wide range of vegetables, herbs, and specialty crops for our local community and restaurants. We also raise chickens and ducks for eggs, and Kune Kune pigs for future pasture-raised pork.
We’re passionate about connecting people with fresh, seasonal food grown right here in northwest Illinois.

Practices
At Polsgrove Hill Diversified Farm, we grow using organic practices that focus on building healthy soil, encouraging biodiversity, and maintaining ecological balance. We never use synthetic fertilizers, herbicides, or pesticides. When pest or disease issues arise, we rely on OMRI-approved organic sprays and natural methods like beneficial insects, crop rotation, and cover cropping.
We believe healthy soil grows healthy food and that how we grow is just as important as what we grow. Our goal is to care for the land so it can continue feeding our community for generations to come.
